Fr. Janusz Błażejak OMI
Fr. Janusz was born on July 16th, 1960 in Jedlanka in the Lublin Voivodeship. After completing his studies at the minor seminary he entered the Oblate novitiate at Holy Cross Mountain. The next stages of his priestly formation were philosophical and theological studies at the Major Theological Seminary in Obra as well as from 1986 at the Newman Theological College in Edmonton. His first place of pastoral ministry was at Holy Ghost parish in Winnipeg. There too he was ordained a priest on June 6th 1987 by bishop Adam Exner OMI. He has worked in many parishes across Canada. From 2005-2011 he served as provincial of the Assumption Province of Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Since fall of 2011 he is the pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
Fr. Pawel Pilarczyk, OMI was born on September 27, 1991 in Makow Mazowiecki, eighty kilometers from Warsaw, where he was raised and studied until the end of high school. His father is a middle school physics and mathematics teacher, and his mother is an accountant. Fr. Pawel has a sister, Aleksandra, who has been married to her husband Daniel. Since childhood, his passion has been sports, mainly soccer, and history. In third grade, he became an altar server at his parish. This is also where he received all his sacraments. As an altar server, he was frequently involved in various parish activities, and this led him to contemplate his vocation. Looking at the priests at his parish, he would ask God if He would like him to be like them. Thanks to a high school friend, he got to know Missionary Oblates. He went to his first vocational retreat in Koden. The Oblates fascinated him. In 2010, he entered the noviciate of the Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate in Swiety Krzyz. On September 8, 2011, he took his first vows, after which he entered he seminary in Obra. On September 8, 2015, he took his perpetual vows and less than a year later he was ordained as a deacon. On May 27, 2017, he was ordained to the priesthood by Bp Jan Kot, OMI and was sent to Assumption Province in Canada.
Fr. Marcin was born on March 29th, 1986. After completing his high school and studies at the minor seminary he entered the Oblate novitiate. The next stages of his priestly formation were philosophical, theological and biblical studies. His first place of pastoral ministry was eastern Madagascar, and later various ministries in Toronto. He was ordained a priest on June 7th 2012 by bishop Douglas Crosby OMI. Since fall of 2015 he serves as associate pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
Father Tomasz Jarosz was born in Gorzów Wielkopolski in 1983, and raised in Drezdenko (the Lubuska Province), with his two sisters, as the third child of Walerian and Maria. He also studied there until the completion of high school. In 2003 he joined the Novitiate of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and after a year made his first vows in the Congregation in order to continue his formation at the Major Seminary in Obra, where on May 29, 2010 he was ordained a priest by His Excellence Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, the Archbishop of Poznan. He served as an associate in Lubliniec for two years. After a year of missionary formation in Warsaw, he served on the missions of Guatemala and Chile, and from 2017 in Canada, first in Edmonton until August 2019. In September 2019 he began his ministry at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
